Behind The Drywall

A House Hides Its Injuries Well.

Structure is the one part of a building nobody sees. Framing, headers, load paths, and the foundation all live behind finished surfaces, which means damage there hides behind a coat of paint that looks just fine. A crack gets patched, a door that sticks gets shaved, and the real problem keeps working underneath.

Our approach is the opposite of patch and hope. When fire, water, a storm, or an impact touches the structure of your home or business, we open it up, find the true extent of the damage, and repair it properly. That is what restoring a property to pre-loss condition actually means: not covering the loss, removing it. We use licensed subcontractors, professional workmanship, and a dedicated project manager on every structural job.

This is careful work, and it rewards experience. JMS Building Corporation was founded in 2015 by brothers Jeff and Mike Robinson, carries 37 plus years of combined experience, holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and answers the phone around the clock for emergencies. When the structural repair is part of an insurance claim, the estimate that goes to your carrier is computerized, detailed, and built on years of Xactimate experience. As our owners like to say, it is what it is, no more, no less.

"Even when impact damage appears minor, we check for unseen damage to ensure more serious problems don't develop later."

How JMS approaches every structural loss

Structural Questions

Worth Asking Early.

The damage looks minor. Do I really need it checked?

Yes. Even when impact damage appears minor, we check for unseen damage to make sure more serious problems do not develop later. What shows on the surface is not always the whole story, and a proper inspection now is far cheaper than a structural repair discovered years down the road.

Do you handle foundation problems?

Yes. We are experienced in dealing with structural and foundation restoration, for both residential and commercial properties across Central Florida.

Will my insurance cover structural repairs?

That depends on your policy and the cause of the damage. We walk the loss, prepare a detailed computerized estimate, and submit it directly to your carrier. Once a price is agreed, you are only responsible for your deductible.

What warranty comes with the work?

All materials will be new materials unless otherwise specified, and all materials and labor are warranted for one year from the date we give you Notice of Substantial Completion.
